3 guided hikes weekly - Summer in the mountains of Tux

In summer, hiking guides Erich and Helmut will take you on trips to the most exciting places in the Zillertal mountains 3 times a week. With our local guides you will discover your favorite mountains, beautiful alpine lakes and fantastic views.

During last summer Hiking guide Erich took his group to the neighboring valley Ginzling to Schlegeisspeicher (1800m above sea level). This fantastic mountain lake was the starting point for a leisurely hike to the Pfitscherjoch (2246m above sea level) on the border with Italy.

  • Character: easy hike
  • Walking time: approx. 3,5 hours
  • Fairly even path with one climb

A gentle hike takes you over alpine pastures, past cows, small rivers. After a while there is a climb up to the Pfitscherjoch and the Pfitscherjoch Haus (2246m above sea level).

As a reward, there is real Italian cappuccino in the hut and a refreshment :-) The location is worth it, to enjoy the view of the valleys of Italy and back to the Schlegeis, take some pictures and then descent on the same way back to the valley.

Right at the lake there are huts to have a drink, lay in the sun and enjoy the time. Afterwards we went back to Lanersbach and the hotel with our shuttle.
